Welcome to DC Infinity, the next step in the evolution of DC Comics Fanfiction!

The DC Universe is one of the richest and most diverse fictional worlds ever made. The possibilities are endless with its rich stable of characters. Of late, DC has been making its universe's cohesiveness and continuity even closer, with everything culminating in the recently concluded miniseries Infinite Crisis, the sequel to the Crisis on Infinite Earths of the mid-1980's.

Infinite Crisis was a chance for DC to do some much-needed housecleaning, making sense of conflicting storylines and events of the past twenty years since the conclusion of the original Crisis. While telling a great story about its flagship characters Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, it also allowed readers to see the DC Universe in a whole new and exciting way. DC kicked off this new perspective with a line-wide event called, appropriately enough, 'One Year Later'. Effectively, all of DC's mainstream superhero comics jumped ahead one year in time and put the readers squarely in the middle of what was supposed to be new and exciting changes to the characters they've read about for all these years. Some of these new status quos were very successful and interesting, drawing in old and new readers alike. Others were not quite as successful.

DC Infinity ( DCI ) is another look at the potential of DC's One Year Later (OYL) concept. Each of our series pick up where Infinite Crisis ends and OYL is about to begin. New and exciting things are in store for the world's greatest heroes at DCI ..from senses shattering changes to entirely new (and unexpected) faces under some of the masks. The events of the One Year Gap will also be revealed, in our own weekly series '52'. Rest assured, our stable of writers are as passionate about maintaining the grand tradition and example that past creators have set. The DCU you knew has changed drastically.but the heroes are still here, fighting the good fight..oh, and the bad guys are even badder, too!

DCI is committed to bringing you the best in DC Fanfiction on a regular and timely basis. We'll have new releases each Wednesday, just like real life comic day at your local comic shop. Of course, real life may creep up now and again, but we will do our very best to see that new releases are waiting for you on time, every time.

Many of our writers are seasoned veterans in the world of online comic fanfiction. Others are brand new but no less talented for that. Together, we hope to bring you a unique and new perspective on the DC Universe. Feedback is always appreciated, both good and bad, so be sure to send us your opinions!
